J.R. Ward is an independent country music singer/songwriter originally from Chattanooga, TN who currently resides in Palm Coast, FL. Drawing influences from artists such as Waylon Jennings,Gary Allan, and Travis Tritt, J.R. writes and sings songs that show elements of another time with a fresh new sound all of his own.

 

Over the past couple years J.R. has played over 200 shows, in FL, GA, SC, and TN with a large portion of those performances in Assisted Living and Nursing homes in North Florida.  "You really find out what's important when you play music for people who are at the end of their life. It reminds me to do what I love, and that's creating memories with music.” 

 

Inspired by having witnessed the impact of Alzheimer’s on families and individuals firsthand, J.R. wrote his new single, “Ready to Go.” In honor of those impacted by Alzheimer’s, 100 percent of the proceeds from the single, from now until Dec. 1, go toward benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s. “Ready to Go” is available on iTunes, Amazon Music and Google Play for $0.99.
